The wooden statue of Our Lady of Hope Macarena which dates from the 17th century. The status stands above the alter, but visitors can see the status through a passage in the back of the church. A mirror is placed next to the status so the faithful can see the the front.

The status is located in the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza Macarena (Our Lady of Hope Macarena) in the Macarean district of Sevilla.
